Improve Video Quality with AI

The selected clip's Improve video quality 4× tool uses NanoVSR to upscale a video. The original audio is preserved.

1. Select a video clip

Add a video to the timeline and select it. Expand Improve video quality 4× in the selected clip's tools panel.

2. Choose a processing size

Set AI input size to Speed · max 320 px for faster processing or Detail · max 480 px for more detail. The model enlarges its input by 4×. A larger source is reduced to the selected input limit first, so the output dimensions may not be four times the original source dimensions.

3. Upscale and review

Select Upscale video 4× and wait for processing to finish. Review the preview and displayed original, AI input, and output dimensions. Upscaling cannot restore detail that was never present in the source, so check faces, text, and fine textures before keeping the result.

4. Keep or replace the clip

Choose Replace selected video clip to use the upscaled video in place of the selected clip, or Add upscaled video as a new timeline clip to keep both versions for comparison.
